Valor Games SE Cycling

The Valor Games cycling competition consists of time trials for athletes on handcrank, recumbent, upright, and tandem bikes.  There are two distances based on each athlete's experience level:  a 6-lap 13.6K and a 9-lap 20.5K race.  The multi-lap format is very spectator friendly.

The competition event will be held on Thursday May 25 at Lake Crabtree Park in Morrisville NC.

Valor Games is a competition for all disabled Veterans and disabled members of the Armed Forces.This year, the Southeast will have both entry level and intermediate competitions in several adaptive sports. Come and challenge your personal limits and discover that disability does not define who you are! National coaches and experts in each sport are available to educate, evaluate and empower competitive sports. Discover an active lifestyle with purpose to train and be a part of a competitive series.

A body changed by injury needs the discipline and challenge of physical activity to stay healthy physically, mentally and emotionally. It is the key to recovery and long-term health, and re-integration into your community at home.

In the spirit of fierce competition, Valor Games Southeast will be held at venues of historic competition and athletic excellence: Dean E. Smith Center at University of North Carolina, Cameron Indoor Stadium at Duke University and Raleigh (venue to be determined).

North Carolina and the Southeast have a rich history of military excellence and support! A history where our men and women have endured grave situations, but through camaraderie, support and love from our communities, made a huge impact and change in our America.

The grant funding for this program is awarded by The Department of Veterans Affairs. The grants are provided to facilitate the growth of adaptive sport programming for disabled Veterans and disabled members of the Armed Forces.
