5K RACE START TIME 6:30PM
Please join us on Friday May 10, 2024 for the 30th Annual Nancy Price Memorial 5K Run. Price was the recreation director who actually put the recreation program on the map. She had Veteran's Park in Youngstown built up to what it is today from just a field. She did this by grit and determination. She was a fixture at the park and became friend/parent to all the children who came by the park.
Price passed away from cancer far too soon. Today, this race seeks to carry on her hopes and dreams for the youth of the community. Proceeds from the event go toward the Annual Nancy & Vicki Price Memorial Scholarships, which are given out to graduates from the area who possess the values she held and who are active in the community.

START/FINISHThe race will start and finish in front of the Youngstown Volunteer Fire Hall in the Village of Youngstown and features a scenic course through the Village of Youngstown and beautiful Fort Niagara State Park (VIEW MAP). The 5K Run/Walk is set to start at 6:30pm start and event organizers are planning a 1/2 Mile Kids Fun Run through Veteran's Park that will take place at 6pm.

REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUP
Online registration will remain open right up until the start of the race. Packet pickup will take place outside the Fire Hall from 5:00pm right up until the start of the race at 6:30pm.
- 5K Run/Walk (19 and older) ......... $20 / $25 on race day
- 5K Run/Walk (18 and younger) ..... $15 / $20 on race day
- 1/2 Mile Kids Fun Run .................. $10 through race day
- Virtual 5K ................................... $20 through (virtual registration closes 5/1/24)
*3-Person Team Challenge: Create a team name during the registration process and invite a couple of your friends to join in the fun for a chance to win a cool team trophy! Scoring will be based on the average of all three team members.
*Everyone who registers by Monday April 22nd is guaranteed to receive an official 2024 race t-shirt in their requested size. A small quantity of extra shirts will be ordered and distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis until they are gone.
*Kids Fun Run -The first 25 registrants will receive a Youngstown Recreation tote bag!
VIRTUAL OPTION
Can't make the race... Participate virtually! Simply sign up for the Virtual Race option and you get to choose the location and time to get out on your own and run/walk your 5K during the month of May. Feel free to use the FREE IYR Virtual App to track and score your run. You will also be able to manually enter your finish time directly to the IYR Results Page starting on 5/1/24 and ending on 5/31/24. You can make arrangements to pickup your shirt at packet pickup on race morning or pay an additional shipping charge at checkout.
POST RACE CELEBRATION
The post race celebration and awards ceremony will take place at the gazebo located near the finish line after the race!
PARKING
There will be plenty of free parking in the lot across the street from the fire hall and on surrounding streets.
AGE GROUPS & AWARDS
Trophies will be presented to the 1st place overall male and female 5K finishers to pickup after the race. We will also be awarding the fastest Team of 3 with a trophy. All participants can download custom finisher certificates from the event page and view/share finish line photos following the race!
14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 and older.

CANCELLATION POLICY
In the event of foul weather, public safety concerns, or for any other reason deemed necessary by race organizers (ex: state of emergency, shelter-in-place, limit on social gatherings, etc), we want runners to know up front that we reserve the right to reschedule the event date if needed OR convert this to a virtual 5K race. There will be no refunds.
TIMING & FINISH LINE SERVICES
The 5K Run will feature a gun start and chip finish. Professional timing and finish line services using industry leading Jaguar Electronic RFID timing will be provided by Race Management Solutions. Results will be updated throughout the race in real time and can be accessed at any time after crossing the finish line using any one of the following options:
